Veiled Chameleon

Size: 18 to 24 inches

Lifespan: 5+ years

Tank: They need a tank that is taller than it is wide, it should have screened sides, don’t house adult chameleons together, make sure the enclosure is big enough for how big the chameleon is.

Substrate: sphagnum moss, Coco fiber, or mulch-like substrate

Decorations: They need a lot of branches to climb on and leaves to hide in. Make sure the plants in it are nontoxic. Have branches with no leaves on them in basking spot.

Heat: needs a basking lamp with a basking spot of 100 degrees on the warm side and 70 degrees on the cold side

Diurnal and needs a UV bulb to be on during the day hours

Humidity: less than 60%, mist their enclosure 4-5 times a day and keep a small water dish in their enclosure.

Diet: Omnivore, insects dusted with calcium and vitamins, greens, and once big enough, they can eat pinky mice.
