Salamander Hatchling (Aquatic Stage)

Care for them the same way you would care for an axolotl because when they first hatch they’re aquatic as they transition into being terrestrial. Once they start losing their tail fin, decrease the water level until it barely covers them and put an island on one end of the aquarium that they can easily climb up to when they’re ready. Be sure that they are able to get onto the island because if they can’t, they could easily drown.
